Perhaps you’ve heard the Mega Millions jackpot has grown to a pretty large number.
The drawing for the estimated $1.1 billion prize is Friday, July 29, 2022. With the surge in ticket sales for the drawing, that number could go higher by the time the winning numbers are selected at 11 p.m.
It’s already the second-largest jackpot in Mega Millions history. A record $1.537 billion jackpot was won in South Carolina on Oct. 23, 2018. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 303 million.
Lost among the Mega Millions hype is a $170 million Powerball jackpot, which is a pretty solid number as well. Powerball will draw on Saturday, July 30. Classic Lotto also will hold its drawing on Saturday, with the jackpot at $32.4 million.
