تغلق الصيدليات في جميع أنحاء لبنان أبوابها اليوم احتجاجا على النقص الهائل في الأدوية.
ويعاني النظام الصحي من الاضطرابات الاقتصادية الشديدة التي تجتاح البلاد منذ عام 2019.
ويستورد لبنان أكثر من 80 بالمئة من أدويته بالدولار الأمريكي، وفي كثير من الأحيان بسعر مدعوم. لكن العملات الأجنبية تنفد من البنك المركزي.
ويقول المستوردون إنهم يكافحون من أجل الحصول على الائتمان لجلب الأدوية. وهناك تقارير تفيد بأن البعض يخزنون الأدوية حتى يتمكنوا من بيعها بسعر أعلى إذا تم رفع الدعم.
ويعد المرضى الذين يعانون من أمراض مزمنة هم الأكثر تضررا من الأزمة.
