قال باحثون إن الصداع والتهاب الحلق وسيلان الأنف تعد حاليا الأعراض الأكثر شيوعا ذات الصلة بعدوى كوفيد-19 في بريطانيا.
وأضاف تيم سبيكتور، المشرف على دراسة “زو” المعنية بأعراض الإصابة بكوفيد، أن الإصابة بعدوى الفيروس من السلالة “دلتا” يمكن أن يشعر بها المرء كما لو كانت “نزلة برد حادة” بالنسبة لفئة الشباب.
وعلى الرغم من أنهم قد لا يشعرون بالمرض الشديد، إلا أنهم قد يحملون العدوى ويعرضون آخرين للخطر.
ويتعين على كل شخص يعتقد أنه مصاب بكوفيد إجراء فحوص طبية.
وتقول الهيئة الوطنية البريطانية للخدمات الصحية إن أعراض كوفيد التقليدية التي يجب على المواطنين رصدها هي: السعال، وارتفاع درجة حرارة الجسم، وفقدان حاسة الشم أو التذوق.
