A man who agreed to meet with someone who expressed interest in buying his car was shot in the stomach after getting into an argument with the potential buyer, police say.
The 20-year-old victim was taken to Summa Akron City Hospital by his girlfriend after the shooting. His wound is not considered life-threatening, police say.
The shooting occurred at about 11:15 a.m. Tuesday on the 1200 block of South Arlington Street in the Firestone Park neighborhood, police say. The victim was selling his car online and had agreed to meet with the suspect.
When the two men met, they reportedly got into an argument. The suspect pulled out a handgun and shot the victim. The only description of the suspect is that he is a younger male and was wearing a hoodie.
