Elyria Council Approves Emergency Purchase for New Police Vehicles

The Elyria City Council has sanctioned a significant emergency expenditure of $471,122 to enhance the local police department’s vehicle fleet. This procurement includes eight 2025 Ford Explorer Interceptors and two 2026 Ford F-150 trucks, aimed at replacing older, high-mileage vehicles that have become less reliable for law enforcement operations.
