A motorcyclist suffered a head injury in a Saturday crash on the city’s East Side, police said.
The crash happened in the 2 p.m. hour at the intersection of East 116th Street and Kinsman Road in the city’s Mount Pleasant neighborhood, Cleveland police spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia said.
A motorcyclist riding a Harley-Davidson was heading eastbound on Kinsman Road in the curb lane, while the driver of a 2007 GMC Yukon SUV was heading westbound on Kinsman, Ciaccia said. The SUV’s driver began making a left turn on East 116th Street when the motorcyclist struck the back of the SUV.
The motorcyclist was ejected from his bike in the crash, Ciaccia said. The driver was not wearing a helmet.
Neither the ages nor genders of the individuals involved in the crash were provided by Cleveland police on Sunday. It’s also unclear which hospital the motorcyclist was taken to for treatment following the crash.
