Orange High School Marks Milestone with 100th Graduation Ceremony

Orange High School achieved a significant milestone this year by celebrating its 100th graduating class during a memorable commencement ceremony. The event, which took place at the school’s auditorium, drew a large crowd of family, friends, and faculty members who gathered to honor the accomplishments of the graduates.

The highlight of the ceremony was a heartfelt speech delivered by Judge Michelle Sheehan, a distinguished member of the Ohio Eighth District Court of Appeals and an Orange High School alumna. In her address, Judge Sheehan shared a unique perspective by reading a letter she had written to her “senior self.” In the letter, she reflected on her own high school experiences, the challenges she faced, and the lessons she learned that shaped her into the leader she is today.

Throughout her speech, Judge Sheehan emphasized the importance of perseverance, self-belief, and the value of education. She encouraged the graduates to embrace their future paths with courage and determination, reminding them that success often comes from hard work and resilience. Her personal anecdotes resonated deeply with the audience, inspiring the students as they prepare to embark on the next chapters of their lives.

The ceremony also included the traditional elements of graduation, such as the presentation of diplomas and the singing of the school’s alma mater. Principal Jeffrey B. Miller commended the class of 2026 for their impressive achievements, highlighting their academic accomplishments, community service, and extracurricular involvement. He noted that this year’s graduates have set a high standard for future classes at Orange High School.

In addition to the graduation festivities, the school district has been actively engaging with the community through various initiatives. Recent events have included a series of workshops aimed at promoting student well-being and mental health awareness. The Orange Schools district continues to prioritize creating a supportive environment for students and families.

As the celebration concluded, the graduates tossed their caps into the air, symbolizing their transition from high school to the next phase of their lives. The 100th graduating class of Orange High School leaves behind a legacy of excellence and community involvement, paving the way for future generations of students.

With such a significant milestone reached, the school looks forward to continuing its tradition of academic excellence and fostering a strong sense of community in the years to come.
