A man wanted in connection with a shooting Tuesday that sent a 28-year-old man to the hospital was arrested Wednesday in Florida, police say.
Federal agents the U.S. Marshals Service and police arrested Gregory Alan Jones Jr., 22, in Jacksonville, Fla., according to Parma police. Jones is awaiting extradition to Parma on a charge of felonious assault.
Police believe Jones was involved in a shooting at about 4 a.m. Tuesday. The victim, who was shot three times, was found in a vehicle stopped near the intersection of Pearl Road and Brookpark Road, police say. He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center and is expected to survive.
Details on possible motive have not been released, but police say Jones knows the victim.
