Mother-Daughter Duo Achieves 163-Pound Weight Loss with Noninvasive Procedure

In a remarkable journey of transformation, a mother and daughter team from Ohio has successfully lost a combined total of 163 pounds through a noninvasive weight loss procedure known as endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG). Both Molly and Diane Madore struggled with weight management for years before discovering this innovative approach, which has significantly improved their health and quality of life.

Molly Madore, 34, recalls a lifelong battle with her weight, stating, “I’ve been overweight my whole life.” From trying various diets as a teenager to experimenting with meal supplements in her early twenties, Molly found it difficult to maintain a weight loss regimen. “Whenever I slipped up, I felt like I had failed completely,” she reflected.

In late 2023, after experiencing adverse side effects from GLP-1 injections, Molly stumbled upon an advertisement for ESG while working at a local hospital. This minimally invasive procedure reduces the size of the stomach by 70-80%, allowing individuals to feel full with smaller portions of food. Unlike surgical options, ESG is performed endoscopically, meaning it doesn’t require any incisions, making it a compelling choice for those seeking noninvasive weight loss methods.

Intrigued, Molly decided to pursue the ESG procedure, and upon witnessing her success—losing 86 pounds—her mother Diane, 59, opted to follow suit. Diane had struggled with weight gain after childbirth and had tried various diets and weight loss shakes without lasting success. Inspired by her daughter’s progress, she underwent the ESG procedure in September 2025, shortly before her 60th birthday, and has since lost 77 pounds.

Both women experienced similar recovery journeys, returning to their daily routines within days of the procedure. Molly, who now weighs 146 pounds, reports increased energy levels and stamina, stating, “It’s never a weight that I ever stepped on the scale and saw.” Diane echoes her daughter’s sentiments, sharing that simple tasks have become easier and more enjoyable.

Since their weight loss journey began, the pair has developed a strong support system, holding each other accountable and sharing the experience of adapting to new lifestyles. They enjoy activities together that were once challenging, such as shopping for clothes, which has become a fun bonding experience instead of a source of frustration.

Molly and Diane are now advocates for noninvasive weight loss options like ESG, hoping to raise awareness about their benefits. They stress the importance of consulting with healthcare professionals to determine the best approach for individual health needs. While results can vary from person to person, they believe ESG has been a game-changer in their weight management journey.

Diane, reflecting on the changes in her life post-procedure, says, “I can sleep through the night now. I can do so much more. And it really wasn’t hard to do.” Their story serves as a powerful reminder of the possibilities that noninvasive procedures can offer to those struggling with weight management.
